The Turning Point Educational Trust is a non-religious, non-political, and non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the well-being of women and children from economically disadvantaged families in both urban and rural communities. Their primary focus extends to the resettlement hamlets as well. The trust is legally registered under the Indian Charitable Act as a Trust, and it has also obtained registration under the FCRA Act of the Ministry of Home Affairs. In addition, it holds registration under subsection 12-A of the Income Tax Act and has been granted 80-G status. Furthermore, the trust has received registration under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for the purpose of engaging in CSR projects.

Turning Point Educational Trust is actively present in various urban slums, including but not limited to Dr. Giriappa Road and Dr. Thomas Road in T. Nagar, Rotary Nagar in Triplicane, as well as Kannagi Nagar, Ezhil Nagar in Thuraipakkam, and Ezhil Nagar and Perumbakkam Phases in Perumbakkam.
