For the last six years, Vaishnavi Welfare and Charitable Trust (VWCT) has been working with children ages 6 to 18 suffering to alleviate Malnourishment. As an intervention, milk with Ashwagandhadhi Churna is given to more than 600 children daily. In collaboration with Government, VWCT is currently working on a program in the 9 panchayats of Tirunelveli to make it malnourishment-free panchayats.
With the present Covid-19 situation being so grave, for these 9 panchayats, VWCT is putting all its efforts to help them with masks, kabasurakudineer, medicines, etc. among the several requirements, we have a specific requirement for 50 Oximeter. These oximeters will be distributed to the Public Health Centres and will be used by the volunteers who will be going door to door in these panchayats to check the vitals of people. Any deviations in the vitals will be immediately reported to keep the surging cases at bay.
